It’s set to release on Tuesday, April 1 — not a joke!
The seeds were planted for MORPHENOMENAL in July 2021, so by the time it gets into your hands it will have been nearly FOUR YEARS in the making. I spent the better part of the last month doing another round of photo gathering/caption writing, debating the spelling of the title, and helping workshop and finalize the cover. We’re still fine-tuning the final contents (for example, the subtitle might slightly change), but in a few short months, you’ll be able to hold the fruits of all that labor. That makes me so, so happy.
I plan to put together an FAQ soon about my process and whatnot, but for now I’d just like to extend a blanket “thank you” to everyone who helped me and MORPHENOMENAL get to this moment. Like the concept for Power Rangers was throughout the ’80s and early ’90s, this book was a hard sell. Several “Big Five” publishers passed on it for various reasons, but it landed at the best home in Applause Books (which in the course of production was acquired by a major independent publisher, Bloomsbury). The team at Applause has “got it” from the first time I met with them, and have been great partners to work with throughout.
Can we get a book about Power Rangers on a “Best Sellers” list? I think Ranger Nation is capable of anything. GO GO PRE-ORDER!
